Herbed Dumplings
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ¾ cup milk

Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, thyme, parsley, and oregano in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add milk, using just enough to form a thick batter.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons into simmering soup or stew, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
