Emily's Famous Apple Pie
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 (14.1 ounce) package double-crust pie pastry, thawed
- 8 Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored and sliced

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Stir sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cloves together in a small bowl until well combined.
- Place 1 pastry crust into a 10-inch pie plate. Place 1/2 of the apple slices into crust and sprinkle 1/2 of the sugar mixture over the top. Top with remaining apple slices, then remaining sugar mixture. Cover with remaining pastry crust. Press the edges with the tines of a fork to seal, then poke holes in the top with a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
