Instructions
- Set your slow cooker to high, add the ribs, and pour the marinara sauce over them. Add about 1/4 cup water to the now-empty jar, swirl it around to pick up any remaining sauce, and pour the mixture over the ribs.
- Cook, covered, on high until the rib meat shreds easily with a fork, about 4 hours.,Slow cookers vary; if the meat isn’t yet tender at the 4-hour mark, continue to cook for another 1 to 2 hours, but monitor the edges of the sauce for any signs of burning.
- Use a ladle or spoon to skim any excess fat from the top of the sauce and discard.
- Use 2 forks to shred the rib meat in the slow cooker. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Enjoy the sauce over pasta, rice, polenta, or with crusty bread. Garnish with parmesan, basil, and/or red pepper flakes, if desired.,Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat on low in the slow cooker or on the stovetop until warmed through, or reheat single servings in the microwave in 15-second increments until hot.,Love the recipe?
