  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pinch salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add flour and whisk continuously until mixture turns golden and forms a smooth paste.
  3. Add milk and stir with a wooden spoon until mixture thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Add Cheddar cheese and stir until cheese is melted, about 2 to 3 minutes more.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve and enjoy!
